Railfanning the BNSF, Amtrak, and UP in Joliet, IL 09/07/24 Part 1/2

It was time to return to the hometown for some railfanning. The vast majority of trains passing by UD Tower in Joliet, IL are on the BNSF Chillicothe sub while the CN/UP Joliet sub gets 15-20 including several Amtraks and the CSX/IAIS a few daily but none during my visit outside of the Metra Rock Island nearby. Since the Chicago/St. Louis route sees several Amtraks a day the trains can be several cars long during peak season. Plenty of BNSF traffic including a Eastbound geometry train.
