Railfanning the Amtrak and BNSF Streator, Mendota, and Princeton, IL 04/04/24-04/05/24 w/ H1 C44-9W

I decided to go to Streator, IL for my normal weekly after work railfanning. Unfortunately it was quite slow with nothing the first 100 minutes or so. There was a Eastbound grain train that was headed to the Norfolk Southern connector in Streator and was hoping to get that but it didn't happen until after dark. I still was able to see 4 on the BNSF Chillicothe sub. The next day after getting off work early, I went to Mendota, IL on the BNSF Mendota sub to get a couple freights. I did get the Westbound Amtrak Southwest Chief and went to check the signals to see if anything was coming. Unfortunately right as I was heading back to my spot, a Westbound BNSF grain train came through led by a H1 C44-9W and 2 rear DPUs. Luckily since route 34 parallels the line much of the way down towards Galesburg, I was able to get about 5 minutes ahead of it in Princeton. The main thing I was able to get the lead engine as a Eastbound stack train would come past before the DPUs came by. I then got both the evening Amtrak's to finish the evening.
