In this regard, Rocca pointed out that this is an important issue for large speculators, who are the ones who control currency movements, and said that he finds it "contradictory" in the sense that a while ago he said "nobody can know," when speaking about the prospects for the dollar's evolution, and now he appears giving advice on how those who have savings in different currencies should manage their money. "In other words," he said, "on the one hand, two or three months ago he said that nobody can know how the dollar will evolve, and now he comes out giving advice about the dollar's future evolution, as if to say, well, those who bet on the dollar lost 20 years ago and now they're going to continue losing, which nobody knows because obviously the evolution of currencies depends fundamentally on political factors." Rocca pointed out that “if it was already impossible to know 3 or 4 months ago, it's even more impossible now with an even more complex international landscape. Therefore, the first thing that strikes me about Tolosa's statements is his contradictions. Four months ago he said one thing, and now he's somehow offering advice. Secondly, he said that another element to consider is that “Tolosa comes from CERES, an economic research center primarily funded by large private banks. So, this sounds to me like the fox advising the henhouse, which is quite curious, to say the least, because ultimately this is a man who has historically served the private financial system, which is the one that funds CERES.” He added that these research centers are not neutral and are funded by large banks, which they serve because, obviously, these are the banks that sustain them financially.
