Instead of a traditional party, we packed up the rig and headed straight up into the freezing mountains of Benguet to celebrate three massive family milestones: Mother’s Day, our wedding anniversary, and Terri’s birthday! Our journey started with a scenic drive up Kennon Road, making a quick pitstop in Baguio for a great meal at Hill Station before pushing onward to our main destination: Camp Ragsak in La Trinidad. For 3 days and 2 nights, this stunning, high-altitude ridge became our home above the clouds. To battle the intense mountain cold, we fired up the camp kitchen and kept the grill running, serving up a massive feast of comfort food from steaming bowls of Pork Sinigang and Salmon Belly Kinamatisan, to a cozy night of Kimchi-Jjigae paired with sizzling Samgyupsal right on the IGT table. Between exploring the camp grounds, conquering the mountain swing, and just soaking in those sweeping, foggy valley views, it was a fun-filled, unforgettable trip.
