PFBC Operation Dry Water Announcement, Harrisburg (2026) FULL EVENT

On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) and PA DUI Association gathered at the PFBC’s Fort Hunter Access along the Susquehanna River in Dauphin County to remind boaters and drivers to remain safe and sober while operating watercraft during the upcoming 4th of July holiday weekend. The event included brief remarks and a simulated Boating Under the Influence (BUI) field sobriety test. From July 3-5, 2026, PFBC Waterways Conservation Officers (WCOs) will participate in Operation Dry Water, a nationally coordinated effort to conduct enhanced boating under the influence (BUI) enforcement. Additionally, the PFBC will hold a statewide Fish-for-Free Day on Saturday, July 4th.
