Fix that low speed rumble or vibration in your Toyota 4Runner Tacoma FJ Cruiser 8" clamshell diff

This new to us 2010 4Runner had an audible rumble heard up to about 30 mph. It was not felt but it was heard. We suspected the needle bearing to be the culprit since this is a common failure and our suspicion was spot on. Details Stock #: T8CS-BUSHING Brand: East Coast Gear Supply "Sintered PTFE Bushing, metal backed, bronze inlaid, PTFE coated CV axle bushing for Toyota 8" front clamshell differential. Fits all 05 to current year model Tacoma, FJ Cruiser, and 03 up 4runner DOES NOT FIT AWD 4RUNNER AND FJ CRUISER. Replaces Driver side CV axle needle bearing with bushing to help control Vibration and shaft float common on these differentials. Replaces Needle Bearing Part # 90364-35010 and 90364-35008. This is for the drivers side ONLY, the passenger side uses a ball bearing. This is for the bushing ONLY, the removal tool is also an option to allow one to easily remove the stock needle Bearing." Follow along as we show you how to replace this part. I would consider this to be a repair for a moderate skill level and having a helper that is skilled would be recommended if you are a novice. The only real "specialty" tool we used was the slide hammer set from Harbor Freight not including the tools we ordered with the bushing. The problem areas were the sway bar link and the tie rod as you can see. It would be difficult to drive the bushing in without using some kind of extended pipe; we used an old piece of jack handle kept around for "party modes" such as this.
