Historias Innecesarias: El Mochaorejas - Daniel Arizmendi Lopez

TICKETS SHOWS: https://quierostandup.com/damian-kuc/ August 1998. A Mexican family negotiates a fifteen million dollar ransom over the phone. On the other end, a voice calling himself Cuauhtémoc haggles over the ransom as if he were negotiating the sale of a used car. Then, the family asks for proof of life. But the kidnapped man, Raúl Nieto del Río, had died two minutes after being abducted, when one of the captors shot him in the chest as they were putting him in a vehicle. In most criminal gangs, this would have brought the plan to an end. But the leader of this particular gang didn't think like others: He ordered both of the corpse's ears to be cut off and sent to the family as proof of life. Then he buried the body, but changed his mind, dug it up, had it made up, inserted an IV drip into its arm, and took a picture, also to send as proof. That negotiation for a dead hostage was the last one he ever conducted. This is the story of how a baby clothes weaver became the most feared kidnapper in Mexican history.
