De-Malled Mall—The Centre at Glen Burnie—Remains of a Mall—Now a Strip Mall—Time Capsule—Maryland

What’s Left of a once successful mall now a Strip mall & time capsule. The Mall had great aesthetics like trees, & plants & the ceiling. The ceiling is still inside the stores & one hallway is left because of Ollie’s inside of the old Toys “R” Us. The hallway, ceiling, & entrances is what’s left and it’s very interesting. The hallway is filled with old plants, skylights, 2 old store display windows, & 2 yellow banners. The outside also still looks like a mall and you can see where other trees and plants used to be. It’s also interesting to see the mall’s ceiling inside of Burlington and cycle gear. GNC closed & is becoming a restaurant and that is taking up space of an old mall entrance and a frozen in time abandoned Payless shoe source. The shops on the side of the big box stores was there when the mall was open & famous footwear & Bonefish grill also was, and of course the GNC used to be the entrance over there and that all they did was take down the mall sign and turn one double door into windows and put in a GNC, it used to take you into the mall so all of those shops over there had mall entrances. Cycle Gear is in a spot where it was once a mall entrance, so you see the mall ceiling when you walk in, and on the other side is the ceiling in for a hallway, and that white wall is where stores would be. Burlington was just part of the mall so that’s the ceiling there. The back of the mall & Dick’s Sporting Goods/Glen Burnie Furniture was demolished is 2018 after the whole mall had closed in 2016. The mall also once had a movie theater & A&P & more.
