1977 Grumman 17 Double Ender Canoe - Overview

If you look up Grumman Canoes you will find "Marathon Boats." Sadly these are no longer made to anywhere near the same quality as Grumman did back in the 50/60s/70s. This model has the deep keel, standard 3 rib support, and two seat layout. The previous owner never touched it and let black mold grow all over it. The decals suffered the same neglect and flaked off long ago. I wanted something to paddle with friends who do not own SUPs, kayaks, or anything to bring along to my lake house. So seeing this on marketplace, a quick drive to a nearby town, 150$, and 3 hours of scrubbing/sanding/polishing, it is back to a bit of its former glory.
