The Service for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has prevented the activities of a criminal group engaged in the distribution of drugs of Afghan origin. During the operational-investigative measures conducted in June 2026, citizens Z.u.E., born in 1990, and M.u.M., born in 1993, who were engaged in the distribution of drugs in Bishkek, were detained. During the search of their places of residence, Afghan heroin and a ME 8 Police pistol were found and confiscated. During the operational-search measures, it was determined that one of the detainees was a member of the organized criminal group of K. Kolbayev. A criminal case was initiated on the basis of the elements of the crime provided for in Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (Illegal production of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues for the purpose of trafficking). Corresponding forensic examinations have been ordered for the seized drugs and firearms.
