Dr David Kohnen of the U.S. Naval War College delivered his lecture on “'Historical Sections' and 'Battle Studies’: The British Influence Upon American Visions of 'Sea Power' and History”. It was presented as global digital lecture with listeners from around the world on the 4th February 2021. Corbett 100 marks the centenary of the death of British naval historian and maritime strategist Sir Julian Corbett (1854-1922). This lecture was in delivered in in conjunction with the King’s maritime seminar series which was hosted by the ‘Sir Michael Howard Centre for the History of War’, King’s College London, and organised by the British Commission for Maritime History (www.maritimehistory.org.uk) in association with the Society for Nautical Research.
