Vice-Chancellor's Distinguished Lecture Series - Sir Chris Meyer: The Lessons of History

The University of Birmingham was pleased to welcome Sir Chris Meyer, former British Ambassador to the United States and Germany, on Wednesday 20 February 2013. He delivered his lecture - The Lessons of History - in the Birmingham Business School as part of he Vice-Chancellor's Distinguished Lecture Series, the University's most prestigious lectures featuring leading public and academic figures. Sir Christopher was a career diplomat from 1966 to 2003 and is also former Chairman of the Press Complaints Commission. He is a non-executive director of the Arbuthnot Banking Group, Chairman of the Pagefield Advisory Board, a member of the international advisory board of British-American Business Inc. and Freeman of the City of London. He is author of the critically acclaimed books DC Confidential and Getting Our Way and is a regular commentator, broadcaster and documentary maker for television and radio.
