Deluxe chatter. Or rather, Eddie, Wolf, and Schröck are rambling on and on. For example, about WEAPONS, DRACULA, THE STUDIO, HIGHEST 2 LOWEST, BRAVE THE DARK, NOBODY 2, the remake of THE NAKED GUN, and GERMAN HORROR STORY. Because those were all titles they'd seen recently. Besides that, they also treated themselves to some real classics. For example, SUNSET BOULEVARD, HIGH & LOW, or THE INNOCENTS, which then leads to a detour into Bibi Blocksberg, ending with a short discussion about the expected surprise hit K-Pop Demon Hunters and a lot of fun at Sony's expense. From BRAD PITT and his F1, the three then get to ROBERT REDFORD, who sadly passed away a few days ago, so his work deserves a brief tribute. Among other things, there are more or less brief anecdotes about BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID, SPY GAME, THE STING, OUT OF AFRICA, THE LAST FORTRESS, SNEAKERS, ALL IS LOST, and QUIZ SHOW. These are followed by some news about a few of the most influential directors in Hollywood right now. For example, they discuss Tarantino and why he isn't directing the sequel to ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD, James Cameron, who has no idea for TERMINATOR 7 and doesn't know when to hand over the director's chair for AVATAR, and Spielberg, who raves so enthusiastically about ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER that the three of them also start wondering who the next Spielberg, Fincher, Cameron, or Tarantino will be. Hopefully, this should provide enough conversation starters and fun for a lighthearted Saturday afternoon. Or for any other occasion when you tune in.
