In this unique video, we polled our membership and found at least 7 people who had made a significant positive change this year in their bone density scores. Each participant shares the changes they made in areas such as Nutrition, Supplements, a Workout regimen, Medications/HRT. Each story is an inspiration. This segment is a testimony to self advocacy and what can be accomplished with a knowledge based mindset and a will to win. Nutrition: Vegan; increased protein to 100g/day, 98% plant-based. Supplements: Calcium, D, K2, Mg, boron, berberine, soy/isoflavones, silica, omega-3s, occasional DHEA. Nutrition: Increased protein with pumpkin seed powder, eggs, yogurt; protein at each meal. Supplements: DHEA, amino acids, ascorbic acid, creatine, D3/K2; no calcium. HRT: Transitioned from patch to oral estradiol + progesterone + testosterone cream. Nutrition: Nutrient-dense, plant-forward diet (beans, legumes, greens, nuts, seeds, berries, soy, whole grains, molasses); occasional animal products. Supplements: Osteo Naturals (Osteosustain, Osteostim, Osteomineral Whey), plus biotin, C, ALA, berberine. Fitness: Strength training (squat, deadlift, overhead press, core/back), OsteoGains jump program, Pilates, yoga, step aerobics, horseback riding with weighted vest. HRT: Estradiol patch + micronized progesterone. 2025 T-scores: FN –2.3; TH –2.1; SP –2.8 ________________________________________ 42:28 Kim’s Story – Osteoporosis, Tymlos, Prolia, Nutrition, Supplements, Fitness 2022 T-scores: TH –2.8; SP –3.6; FN unknown Medication: Tymlos 18 months → strong gains; transitioned to Prolia with continued improvement. Nutrition: Increased protein; adds protein powder to coffee; drinks milk with dinner. Supplements: Vitamin D, calcium; prioritizes natural vitamin D. Fitness: Gym workouts, hiking, biking, walking, yoga; now includes weight-bearing lifts (deadlifts) with a personal trainer. 2025 T-scores: TH –2.2; SP –2.2; FN slight decline ________________________________________ 49:40 Ann’s Story – Osteoporosis, Evenity, Reclast, Nutrition, Supplements, Fitness 2023 T-scores: SP –3.6; TH –1.5; FN –3.0 Evenity: 1 year → improvement to SP –2.5, TH –1.2, FN –2.6 Reclast (2024): Continued gains → SP –2.4; TH unchanged; FN –2.4 Nutrition: Tracks nutrients with Cronometer; eats leafy greens; high-protein baked tofu (meals/snacking). Supplements: Garden of Life vegan protein. Fitness: Weight lifting; modified LiftMor-style training.
