Souksan sunset guesthouse, a great hotel on Don Det

We were on the island of Don Det, Laos for two weeks. The first hotel we stayed in was pretty poor to be honest, and we couldnt wait to get out of there. So we decided to stay in a better one for another week. We booked a week in Souksan sunset guesthouse, and we loved it there. From the first moment of meeting the owner at the reception he made us feel most welcome. He took us to our room, and showed us around the whole place. He was friendly, and told us all of the things we can get at the hotel, from our laundry being done, to renting bikes, to sunset boat trips, and a whole lot more. Our room was lovely and clean, the bed was comfortable, the sheets were clean, everything was lovely. The sunsets from our balcony were superb, and so was watching thunder storms most nights. If we ever go back to Don Det we will 100% be staying there again. I would give the place an 9/10 rating. If you ever plan on going to Don Det I highly recommend this hotel. There are a lot of very basic hotels there, as we found out with the first one we booked, we did a youtube video of that one called sunset bar and bungalows, we couldnt wait to get out of there. But Souksan was 100 times better.
