Anna Speech (English Subtitle) on Two Language Policy and anti Hindi protests
CN Annadurai was the TamilNadu Chief Minister who legislated the two language policy of the state. He was at the forefront the movement for continuation of English in the Indian Union. He renamed the state from Madras to TamilNadu during his tenure. A strong proponent of state autonomy, the party he founded DMK and its offshoot ADMK has ruled the state continuously since 1967.
