Stats: 200 INT | 200 DEX | 40 END | 5 WIS 200 Protection / 200 Magic / 199 Assistance / 1 Mischief 8x False Amulet 8x Mutagen U Gear: https://pastebin.com/s1ZzCnUj Strategy & Commentary: This is a really bad matchup on paper since V-Hunter spams executes and ShadowSlayer E has two powerful nukes on a short rotation, but the synergy between Revenant's Remnant and ChW is strong enough to powercreep a fight that would otherwise be impossible*. V-Hunter is, for most classes, a pretty tame duo partner — they have an execute and several annoying debuffs, but the former is one of the weakest in the entire Inn (requires hitcheck, needs to be charged, boss can be stunned) and the latter can be avoided fairly easily or even outright ignored. They're manageable enough to the extent that ShadowSlayer E first is a viable approach to the fight, even with the looming threat of an execute while you're dealing with his monstrous damage output in Phase 2. For ChW, however, V-Hunter's execute is much more threatening since it hinders our ability to use Aegis, can't be baited while Gambit is active, and if we do bait it, it only buys us a narrow time frame to use Aegis before it is charged again. ShadowSlayer E similarly denies Aegis by having a strong DoT tied to its second nuke, making an otherwise great time to use Aegis strictly impossible, and we have to dodge this attack entirely instead. To open the fight, we need to use a set with extra WIS, as V-Hunter's MP DoT being Energy instead of Null means that some of our gearswap will be punished, and we need the extra mana so that we don't run out before we have the space to use an MP potion. Due to ChW's hitcount and the way effects are applied, we also need to be very precise in managing Unstoppable so that it's on zero stacks by the time we use Veng — using Veng in between activations of Unstoppable cuts the effect duration by one turn, and we need to use it below two stacks to fit in Untangle, Beam, Rebuke, and Nova afterwards without the -All being purged. Getting to the point where we can burst is annoying, though, as we can't use Cysero's Spare Hammer while requiring that all of V-Hunter's hits glance us while using Chimeric Defense. We also need 3/3 Rebuke crits with only 111 crit, and while there is some leeway with Siphon crits, it doesn't detract from the fact that raw triple crit Rebukes are painful to fish for. With V-Hunter dead by T12, the rest of the fight is a lot more manageable. We more or less just stall until we can use RR a second time, using eShred and EUD + MPM stack in the meantime to avoid ShadowSlayer E's nukes, though only the former gives us guaranteed dodges. We begin our second burst cycle immediately after his fourth rotation, and we don't even need any crits on Rebuke to push him into Phase 2 (I should've used Untangle before Rebuke since I wasn't below 10% HP, but it didn't matter anyway). We're able to use Siphon, RR, and Scales immediately afterwards for his next set of nukes, and we even save an HP pot to give us a very generous cushion of HP and +Crit while we stall before finishing him off (I set up for a triple crit Rebuke, but this proved to be extreme overkill). 2 HP 2 MP 0:00 V-Hunter EX13 4:24 ShadowSlayer E *You might be able to do it without RR, but the RNG is absolutely miserable, and you don't even get the freedom to use other weapon specials outside the first three turns since you need to use Zorbak late into the fight. There's room to use Red Fruit for the two times you need 3/3 Rebuke crits, so I might record a proof of concept clear if there's interest.
