What Is a Neutron Bomb?

It was claimed by its designer to be the cleanest and most humane weapon ever built but it has gone down in history as the very opposite and created an uproar when the US went ahead and built it for deployment in Europe to counter the threat of a massive Soviet tank invasion. The neutron bomb, an Enhanced Radiation Weapon or ERW was in the end never deployed but it created a tremendous amount fear in both the enemy and allies alike.
