While the green walnuts are still a little soft, you can make a delicious walnut liqueur! It's excellent as a digestif, as it aids digestion and tastes absolutely divine! It's also a perfect gift for dear friends. You'll need a 3- to 5-liter jar with a tight-fitting lid, a knife, and a cutting board. Recipe: 15 to 20 green walnuts, 500g brown rock sugar or raw cane sugar, 1 teaspoon juniper berries, cloves, caraway seeds, half a nutmeg, 1 lemon, 2 star anise, 3 cinnamon sticks, and of course, 2 liters of grain alcohol or vodka (38-42% ABV). You can also add 1 orange and some ginger. I always add a real vanilla bean as well. Feel free to vary the spices to your liking. See the video for preparation instructions!
