In this unique recording, the American pianist and teacher, Jerome Lowenthal, performs Beethoven's 4th Piano Concerto with an unnamed orchestra (because it consists of freelance players) conducted by Carl Topilow. It features 11 different cadenzas for the 1st movement, by Beethoven and various illustrious pianists/composers. Since this recording was published on CD, its original intention was so that one can choose which cadenza to listen to by programming the appropriate tracks.
