Our goal was, of course, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World — the three Great Pyramids of Giza. We stayed at a hotel with pyramid views for only about $15 a night for two people, and enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop with an incredible view. Then it was finally time to explore the pyramids themselves! During our visit to Giza, we experienced: ・Standing in front of the Great Sphinx ・Entering the inside of the Great Pyramid of Khufu (extremely hot and narrow!) ・Visiting the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure using the free shuttle bus ・Finding a hidden viewpoint where all three pyramids can be seen together ・Discussing pyramid mysteries and theories like the Orion correlation We had heard that “the inside isn’t that impressive,” but somehow that made the experience even more interesting 😂 ＝＝＝Places We Visited＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝ Giza Great Pyramids of Giza (Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure) Great Sphinx ＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝ The mysteries of 4,500 years ago, the reality of entering the pyramids, and hidden viewpoints beyond the guidebooks.
