Yechezkel 43: The Return of Hashem's Glory and the Inauguration of the Temple

In this chapter, Yechezkel witnesses the dramatic return of Hashem's glory to the future Beis Hamikdash through the eastern gate. The vision echoes the revelation he experienced at the beginning of his prophetic mission, symbolizing the restoration of the Divine Presence among the Jewish people. Hashem declares that this Temple will be His eternal dwelling place and calls upon Israel to learn from its design and be ashamed of their past sins. The chapter then shifts to the Mizbeach (altar), describing both its measurements and the seven-day inauguration ceremony. Yechezkel details the sacrifices that are to be offered during the dedication of the altar, including sin offerings and burnt offerings brought over the course of seven days. On the eighth day, the inauguration is complete, and the regular Temple service is set to begin, with Hashem promising to accept the offerings of His people.
