Franz Brey Barn – Lafayette Minnesota
I don’t the chance to see the interior of old barns too often, so when I was invited to see the Brey Barn near Lafayette, Minnesota, I eagerly accepted the offer. Once I got to the old Brey farmstead, there were actually a lot of the original buildings left. Come along for a tour of the barn (timber frame construction), house (made of New Ulm brick), and several other outbuildings. The timber frame construction in the barn is really fascinating, as it gives a rare glimpse at the construction methods used in the late 1900s.
