¡CONOCIENDO EL ZOOLÓGICO NACIONAL DE NICARAGUA!

The National Zoo is located at Kilometer 16 of the Masaya Highway. The National Zoo is an interesting place both for its attractiveness and for spending a day with family or friends, as well as for its educational function, the collection of scientific data, and for being the only institution in the country that collects, provides veterinary care, and rehabilitates wild animals seized from traffickers or brought here by any interested party. This Zoo, the largest in Nicaragua, exhibits more than 600 species of national fauna, most of them wild and some domestic, as well as several exotic specimens native to faraway places such as Africa and Asia. Some of the animals that can be observed here are species that are even in danger of extinction, and can only be found in minimal numbers in the thickest parts of some of the country's forests and jungles.
