GU PATROL Intercooler Upgrade ZD30 - [ Sparks Fly Off The Bonnet ]

This very clean GU Patrol has an intercooler upgrade fitted to the top of it's ZD30. Having an intercooler upgrade is a great way of managing heat thats generated from the turbo while towing that big caravan, or driving along low range 4WD tracks. The electric fan on the under side of the intercool kicks in during those times when there's not much natural air flow coming through the bonnet scoop, to help with the management of those turbo high temperatures. Your ZD30 wont necessarily gain more power from an intercooler upgrade, but you will have a more consistent power when your engine is working hard up hills. Without an intercooler upgrade during those times, the heat thats going through the standard intercooler will not cope and engine power will start coming off.
