British Traditional Jazz - At A Tangent This release looks at the development of the New Orleans style bands for the late 1940s to 1963. It looks at the early pioneers with bands like The Crane River Jazz Band and The Christie Brothers Stompers, musicians such as Mike Peters & His Band, Chris Barber, Ken Colyer, Monty Sunshine and their influences. It goes on to look at the so-called Contemporary New Orleans scene which developed in the early 1960s. Many rare and previously unissued recordings make up this compilation.
