【岡山県／兵庫県】美作（みまさか）アルプス✨駒の尾山〜鍋ヶ谷山〜船木山〜後山😀駒の尾山から見える稜線がめっちゃ綺麗でした(^ ^)

We're climbing Ushiroyama, the highest peak in Okayama Prefecture. The starting point is the Komanoo trailhead on the Daruga Mine Forest Road. From this trailhead, the traverse course goes from Komanoo Mountain to Nabegatani Mountain to Funaki Mountain to Ushiroyama. This traverse route offers magnificent views of the Chugoku Mountains and is known as the "Mimasaka Alps." In fact, we attempted to hike this traverse route about six years ago. However, since it was winter, the Daruga Mine Forest Road was closed due to snow. This was our second attempt at a mountain that we had to retreat to (or was it just a lack of information?). This time, we were finally able to climb Ushiroyama, the highest peak in Okayama Prefecture. The approach to Ushiroyama from the Mimasaka Alps is a very gentle path. Beautiful forests, spectacular views of the Chugoku Mountains, and just the right amount of ups and downs - it's very pleasant. Based on this information alone, Ushiroyama seems like a very gentle mountain. However, Ushiroyama is a sacred mountain, known as Mount Omine in the West. It was founded by En no Gyoja, and even today, women are prohibited from entering the pilgrimage site beyond the Mother Hall at the base of the mountain. It seems this mountain was also a place of faith. It would be fun to hike Ushiroyama as part of the Mimasaka Alps.
