Reviving a Late 80s ROSSIN: Shimano 600 Tricolore ♥️

Today, I’m getting stuck into a late 80s handmade Rossin. It’s kitted out with a nearly complete Shimano 600 Tricolore groupset—a absolute classic from Shimano. This isn't a museum-grade "catalogue correct" restoration—it’s an honest, mechanical rescue to get this Italian beauty rolling and shifting properly again. In this video: Tool of the Day: I finally got to use my dedicated fixed-cup tool to safely remove the bottom bracket. It wasn't a total nightmare, but the right tool made it a smooth job. Uniglide Tech: A closer look at the pre-Hyperglide Shimano Uniglide cassette and how these threaded sprockets differ from modern setups. Frame Prep: Cleaning up the Columbus Matrix tubing, chasing the threads, and adding internal liners to the BB shell to stop cable-on-metal wear.
