BEILNGRIES. Everything to know at the town + a short hop to Hirschberg castle (Germany)

Welcome back. After some time I thought it's time for a new Video at the Franconian Alb and the Walley of the Altmuel River. Beilngries was long time on my list to show you. Two things gave me the skill to make a Video about this town. The Saint Walburges church and the barroc Castle Residence called Hirschberg Castle. Find out in my Video what is happen to see at Beilngries. The trip: I visited the town Beilngries on a sunny day in springtime 2025. It was long time on my list to show you this town because its the only town at the whole district between Regensburg and Eichstätt which has a church with two towers. I went into the long street which can see qual with the market place, made a quickly hop to the play staff museum and spend time in front of some colored houses. At next I visited the Saint Walburges Church with its white main hall. In the second part went by car to Hirschberg Castle loceated not far away of Beilngries. The buildings are currently closed but the patio was open and gave me the opportunity to went inside. The two towers which built the entrance gives memories to the town called San Giminiano at the Toscana region at Italy. For me was the trip to Beilngries a Comeback after some years. About Beilngries: The town is loceated at the center of the Franconian Alb in the district of Kehlheim and Regensburg. The town and its region is the First part of Upper Bavaria next to the border to Franconia. Famous for Beilngries is the Saint Walburges Church which also is the only Church in the region between Regensburg and Eichstätt which has two high towers. The buildings along the market place are in different colors and gives a kind of rest feeling of Franconia. The town has no station but a own port where the people can go by a ferry in under one hour to Kehlheim and Dietfurt. About Hirschberg Castle: The Castle is loceated only two kilometers far away of Beilngries and is in own of the Administration of the Dome of Eichstätt. Famous for this Castle are the two two towers built out nature stone from the region. These towers gives memories to a town at the Toscana region at Italy called San Giminiano. The architectur is in late barroc style and classicism. The Castle is currently closed for the tourists but the main gate daily is open and gives and opportunity to see the huge patio.
