Swami Vivekananda - Advaita - A Filosofia da Não-dualidade

Excerpts from the book “Inspired Talks” by Swami Vivekananda. Born as Narendranath Datta, Swami Vivekananda (1863 - 1902) was a Hindu monk, philosopher and one of the most celebrated spiritual leaders of India. Vivekananda, which means: “The bliss of discernment of wisdom”, was the main disciple of Sri Ramakrishna and one of the pioneers in the dissemination of Indian philosophy in the West. In 1893, he became known worldwide for representing Hinduism at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago, where his eloquence and universal vision impressed the audience, making him a spiritual ambassador of India in the West. His teachings were based mainly on the spiritual teachings of Ramakrishna, such as the harmony between religions, the universality of spirituality and the realization of human potential through God. He propagated the philosophy of Vedanta and Yoga, emphasizing spiritual practice as a means of personal and social empowerment. His message emphasized the unity of all beings, selfless service, and self-exploration as paths to truth. He advocated the importance of balancing work, meditation, and service as pillars of a fulfilling life. 🙏 Get Swami Vivekananda's books through our Amazon link: https://amzn.to/3CaTjHo 📚 Check out our list of recommendations: https://www.amazon.com.br/shop/corvoseco “When the infinite manifestation is divided into portions, it remains infinite. Brahman is the same in both forms, changeable and immutable. Shankara says: “Brahman is the essence, the reality of all knowledge, and that all manifestation as Knower, knowledge and known, are nothing but imagination in Brahman”. Seeing differences is the cause of all suffering and ignorance is the reason why we see differences. Freedom is nothing but the destruction of ignorance, and this only disappears when we know Brahman.” Swami Vivekananda. “Books suggest the existence of an inner light and the method of extracting it; but we can understand them only when we have gained that Knowledge ourselves. When the inner light is kindled within you, give up the books and look only within. Everything is within you, and it is a thousand times more than what is in all the books. Never lose faith in yourself; you can do everything in this universe. Never be cowardly; all this power is yours. If religion and life depend on books or on the existence of some prophet, then let all religions and all books die! Religion is within us. Neither books nor teachers can do more than help us to find it, and even without them we can unearth the truth that is within us.” Swami Vivekananda. “The Vedas must come down to our level, because if they told us the highest truth in the highest way, we would not understand it.” Swami Vivekananda.
