This group affiliates with lodging facilities in hot spring areas that are blessed with nature, possess abundant hot spring water, and respect local culture and traditions. It currently has 148 member lodgings nationwide. Each lodging that becomes a member has its own hot spring source and provides services and facilities tailored to the unique characteristics of each region. Many are located in somewhat secluded places, surrounded by nature. At these inns, guests can enjoy the local cuisine unique to each area and have opportunities to interact with the local people. The 'Nihon Hitou wo Mamoru Kai' offers a stamp booklet, where you can collect stamps from each member hot spring inn you visit. Once you accumulate 10 stamps, you are eligible for a free one-night stay at a hot spring inn of your choice from among the inns where you had your stamps stamped.
