Leaving Aone Onsen "Yumoto Fubokaku" behind, my next destination was the mystical Zao Okama (Crater Lake). Even though the sky wasn't perfectly clear, I found myself completely captivated by the breathtaking, epic view. Afterward, I made a stop at Zao Onsen. With an intense acidity of around pH 1.4, its powerful natural antibacterial properties left my skin feeling incredibly smooth and refreshed. For lunch, I pulled over at Michi-no-Eki Tazawa "Nagomi no Sato" to savor some authentic hand-rolled soba noodles—freshly milled and freshly boiled to perfection. Tonight’s lodging is Tamanashi Onsen "Ebisuya", a proud member of the "Japan Association of Secluded Hot Springs" (Nihon Hito o Mamoru Kai). The pure, soothing atmosphere of deep Oku-Aizu was completely comforting... Once again, the solo journey of a 37-year-old single man begins.
