A carrion crow has been on the move for two months with a broken wing that has healed crookedly. It won't be possible to restore its ability to fly. But the bird can't survive long-term without functioning wings either. On the third attempt, we finally managed to secure it. It will be given a lovely new home in an aviary with other disabled corvids. A swan landed on the balcony on the second floor of the Düsseldorf City Museum... or rather, crashed. Fortunately, it wasn't injured. Because swans need a lot of momentum to get into the air due to their great weight, it couldn't get out without help. We helped it. Birds often fly into buildings. They usually can't get out on their own, even if doors and windows are open. This also happened to a tawny owl. But we quickly helped it back to the wild.
