Do you ever get that feeling: You just want to quickly check Instagram and suddenly four hours have passed? We spend a lot of time on our phones; according to NDR, the average is 3.7 hours a day. Our reporter, Marlen Haupt, knows this all too well. For her, her smartphone represents security, and she can hardly imagine a life without social media. In a self-experiment, she tries exactly that – two weeks using only a basic smartphone. She experiences a rollercoaster of emotions.
