My Attempt At A Zero Waste Project :: The Perfect Use For Your Precious Fabric? :: Can I Use It All?

Hey Peeps! This was a fun project to attempt with a very precious fabric. I usually always buy 5 metres of cotton lawns (kinda wish I'd bought more of this one though!) and the first project that always springs to mind is an V8577 as I love wearing them. As you can see I can usually get a cropped shirt out of the offcuts and it turns out there is potential for many other small projects too! I didn't try any quilting with my scraps this time as I knew I wouldn't be able to finish a quilt project in time to get this video done but it's definitely something I do with some of my larger scraps that are ideal fabrics for quilting. As I mention it's logical to me to cut out your largest project piece first and work down from there until you only have slivers left! If you don't intend to have a shoulder dragon that needs frequent washing....then those slivers are the perfect stuffing for your new minion!! What do you think of my Zero Waste Attempt? This is definitely a much more "me" set of items than the usually zero waste patterns yield but I am determined to try the Edit Smock Dress at least once because I think it will work for me....especially with the right belt!
