The pit itself can tell, that this barangay has an abundance of resources just like any place here in the entire Philippines. in 1964. following request from the Philippine Government. The IAEA ( International Atomic Energy Agency) supplied an expert for a 12 months mission in thIis area. The expert was attached to the Philippine Bureau of Mines with liaison to the Philippine Atomic Energy Commission and visited most of the principal mining areas in the ocuntry. work was principally concentrated here, the one known area of Uranium occurrence in the Philippines during that time. it has been estimated then that there may be content of 200 tons U308 (Uranium Concentrate) in this area, contained in 500,000 tons of ore with a grade of 0.04% U308. info source: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=...
