In this talk, Encarna Samitier reflects on how women have gained prominence in newsrooms and the false myths that have been built up around modern journalism. With a long career as a journalist, Encarna is currently the director of the newspaper '20 minutos' and a contributor to various media outlets, including Espejo Público/Antena 3 and Telemadrid. A graduate in Information Sciences from the University of Navarra, she has been the Director of Communication and Opinion for the Henneo group, Deputy Director of the newspaper Heraldo de Aragón, and Director of the television program 'El Contrapunto' and the magazine "La magia de viajar" (The Magic of Traveling). She is also a member of the Royal Aragonese Economic Society of Friends of the Country and co-author of the book "50 Myths About Tobacco."
