Cast off for a new adventure: Our grand Mediterranean cruise on the AIDAstella is about to begin! From May 1st to May 12th, 2026, we'll take you on a spectacular journey that will lead us to the most beautiful islands and ports in the Mediterranean. In this new vlog series, you'll experience everything up close: from the very first second of our arrival to the final sunset in Mallorca. Our route takes us from the Turkish Riviera to the Greek classics Rhodes and Santorini, all the way to wild Crete (Souda Bay). The journey continues via Valletta in Malta, Messina in Sicily, and Olbia in Sardinia, before we reach our final destination, Palma de Mallorca. Vlog 1: Travel stress? Not with us! Our journey begins at Zurich Airport. We flew directly to Antalya with Edelweiss Air. To ensure a completely relaxed check-in on the AIDAstella the next morning, we chose the Pearly Hotel. Why? The location is unbeatable for cruise passengers, as you can reach Antalya's cruise terminal in no time. After checking our luggage, it was time to switch into vacation mode! Sunshine on Konyaalti Beach & Culinary Delights Although we couldn't check into our room yet, we made the most of our time. Konyaalti Beach Park is right on our doorstep. A stroll along Antalya's modern beach promenade is the perfect way to start May. For dinner, we visited the hotel's Riviera Costa restaurant – highly recommended for anyone wanting to enjoy excellent Turkish-Mediterranean cuisine before their cruise. Antalya by Night: Kaleici & the Old Port A must-see in Antalya is the historic old town of Kaleici. We grabbed an Uber and drove straight to the heart of the city. Between the impressive Hadrian's Gate and the bustling bazaar, you can experience authentic Turkish life. We spent the evening relaxing at Antalya Port (the old harbor) – the backdrop of the illuminated city walls overlooking the sea is simply magical and the perfect prelude to our embarkation the next day. ...
