Donna Adelson trial: Katherine Magbanua testifies as 'middle-man' between Charlie Adelson and hitman

The Donna Adelson murder trial over the 2014 death of Florida State University law professor Dan Markel continues Aug. 26 after a blockbuster day of testimony from Donna's children, Wendi Adelson and estranged son Robert Adelson. Donna Adelson is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy and solicitation in the contract killing of Markel, her former son-in-law. Prosecutors contend that after Wendi Adelson and Markel’s acrimonious divorce, the Adelson family wanted him out of the way so she could relocated to South Florida with their two children. Katherine Magbanua is serving a life sentence in the Florida Department of Corrections for her intermediary role in the murder of Dan Markel. She was sentenced in 2022.
