The Donna Adelson murder trial over the 2014 death of Florida State University law professor Dan Markel continues Aug. 25 with witness testimony that may include her daughter Wendi Adelson testifying under an immunity deal. Donna Adelson is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy and solicitation in the contract killing of Markel, her former son-in-law. Prosecutors contend that after Wendi Adelson and Markel’s acrimonious divorce, the Adelson family wanted him out of the way so she could relocated to South Florida with their two children.
