Dinky introduced Lady Penelope's FAB 1 car in late 1966 and it became a must-have Christmas gift. It was the first model made for Gerry Anderson's famous series Thunderbirds. The company produced the FAB 1 for eleven years. The first versions featured roof straps and cardboard packaging. FAB 1 had at least four versions of the pink color. I chose a very subdued version, but there were also fluorescent pink versions. My model comes from the first year of production. It is characterized by a golden interior and the type of rims it is equipped with. During the restoration, I made the missing windows of this model from ultraviolet-cured resin and made the missing rockets and figures of Lady Penelope and her butler.
