UEC MTB EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS highlights - Women Elite XCO Race in epic conditions: supporter's POV

Epic conditions at the UEC MTB European Championships. Here are the Women Elite XCO race highlights as seen from the side of the track. The event was held on 12.05.2024 in Romania, at the Cheile Gradistei mountain sports resort. Rain, cold and mud on the track were the ingredients for a epic battle between the best women MTB riders in the world. The initial part of the race was a battle between PIETERSE Puck (NED), the current MTB XCO European Champion and the world MTB XCO champion FERRAND PREVOT Pauline (FRA). The French rider abandoned the race due to a fall so Puck Pieterse found herself leading the race all alone. Puck Pieterse defended her European Championship XCO Elite Women's title that she also won in 2023.
