UEC MTB EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS highlights - MEN Elite XCO. A muddy race: supporter's POV #EuroMTB24

Inhuman conditions this year at the UEC MTB European Championships. Here are the MEN Elite XCO race highlights as seen from the side of the track. The event was held on 12.05.2024 in Romania, at the Cheile Gradistei mountain sports resort. It rained all day and the track was really technical with the additional slippery conditions. 5 degrees Celsius. Some riders came back at the end freezing. The best elite riders in the world battled for the title of European XCO mountainbike Champion. The Big favourite, Simon Andreassen had a flat tire while leading the race. He fought back and ended in second place. The winner was a big surprize: the italian rider Simone Avondetto. Third spot on the podium for the german Julian Schelb.
