This fascinating location has the North London Line, operated by dual voltage class 378s using the overhead wires, on the northern pair of tracks and the East London Line, operated by a mix of third rail only and dual voltage 378s, on the southern pair of tracks. With 16 trains per hour in each direction the action is constant. The North London Line is also used by freight services to and from the Thames Estuary and Essex coast ports. These originate from the Great Western, West Coast and East Coast routes.
