A scenic train ride delivers you to nonstop views of peaks and glaciers. Lower on this same train line are alpine lakes that reflect the Matterhorn, great hiking trails, and some of the best food in town. Oh, and we can’t forget about the famous blacknose sheep! DAY 2 | THE MOST POPULAR HIKE If you’re lucky enough to have 2 days in Zermatt, head here next for one of the most popular trails. You’ll pass by multiple alpine lakes, tiny hamlets, and jaw-dropping scenery. Even if you don’t want to hike, you can still enjoy the panoramic views or adventure activities. DAY 3 | THE HIGHEST CABLE CAR On your third day in town, you can ride up to the highest cable car station in Europe. The ice slide and glacier views are the best parts, in our opinion. But on your way down, you can hike over glacier rocks toward the Matterhorn, wander small hamlets for lunch, and walk through a narrow gorge — all before you even reach town again!
