I Moved to a Tiny Colorado Mountain Town for the Summer

I moved to a tiny Colorado mountain town for the summer, and this is why. I’m spending the next four months in Silverton, Colorado with my tiny RV and my dog Feeny. Silverton has been my favorite place for years. I used to drive eight hours just to spend a weekend here, then spend the whole drive home wishing I could stay longer. This year, I finally get to. But this summer isn’t just about pretty mountain views. It’s about settling into a place that feels like peace. It’s about making this little RV site feel like home, giving Feeny his own tiny front yard, finally buying the flowers I’ve admired every summer, and creating enough space to hear myself think. I built a life I love, but I’m also in a season where I’m trying to figure out what actually matches the life I want. So this summer, I’m choosing slower evenings, more time outside, fewer distractions, long walks, alpine lakes, mountain views, and a little more room to breathe.
