Following the rains during the Gundicha festival, similar weather is expected to continue during the return chariot festival. The IMD has issued a Yellow Warning for 10 districts, while Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh and Jharsuguda are likely to receive particularly intense rainfall. Coastal Odisha may also experience thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds of 30–40 kmph, prompting people to remain cautious.
