Jazz San Javier tiene el honor y el gran placer de volver a recibir en su escenario al legendario pianista Kenny Barron, uno de los pianistas mas influyentes de la historia del Jazz y premio de nuestro festival en 2022. Principal representante de la tradición del be-bop en el piano, ha trabajado con cientos de músicos de primera fila, como Stan Getz, Chet Baker, Buddy Rich, Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Turrentine, Milt Jackson o Yusef Lateef. Considerado por muchos el mejor pianista de jazz en activo y maestro absoluto del arte del trío de piano, nos visita de nuevo con su brillante trío compuesto por: Kiyoshi Kitagawa al contrabajo, y Johnathan Blake a la batería, y con un invitado especial, el cantante Tyreek McDole, ganador del primer premio de The Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition en 2023, con una preciosa voz de barítono en la línea de Billy Ekstine, Joe Williams o Will Downing y una de las estrellas emergentes en el nuevo jazz estadounidense. A leading figure in the tradition of be-bop on the piano, he has worked with countless top-tier musicians, including Stan Getz, Chet Baker, Buddy Rich, Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Turrentine, Milt Jackson, and Yusef Lateef. Regarded by many as the best living jazz pianist and a true master of the piano trio art, he returns with his brilliant trio composed of: Kiyoshi Kitagawa on bass, and Johnathan Blake on drums, with a special guest, vocalist Tyreek McDole, winner of the first prize at The Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2023. McDole possesses a beautiful baritone voice in the style of Billy Eckstine, Joe Williams, or Will Downing, and is one of the emerging stars in the new wave of American jazz.
