Round 3 of Scanian Derbies Season 3 brings us to the fast and flowing asphalt roads of Rally Croatia. After winning the opening two rounds of the championship, I arrived in Croatia looking to extend my perfect start to the season and move one step closer to an ambitious goal, winning three Scanian Derbies championships in a row. With extremely high temperatures outside, I decided to tackle the rally early in the morning before the heat became unbearable. Unfortunately, the hot weather had already taken its toll. A restless night and lack of sleep affected my concentration throughout the event, making it much harder to maintain a consistent rhythm. To make matters worse, I also made a setup mistake by selecting the wrong gearbox ratios for my Toyota GR Yaris Rally1. The gearing didn't suit Croatia's stages, leaving me struggling with acceleration and top speed in several key sections. As a result, my rally became a constant battle between moments of excellent pace and costly mistakes. I remained competitive throughout the event, but several small errors prevented me from building a comfortable lead. The biggest setback came on SS4, where a larger mistake cost valuable time and left the final outcome very uncertain. Despite everything, I managed to keep myself in contention and bring the car safely to the finish. At the time of recording, I'm holding provisional P1, although many of the championship's fastest drivers still have to complete their runs. If the result stands, it would mark three consecutive victories to start Season 3 and provide a huge boost in my quest for a third consecutive Scanian Derbies championship title. 🏆 Championship Situation • 🥇 Winner of Rounds 1 and 2 • Championship leader entering Rally Croatia • Early morning start to avoid extreme temperatures • Lack of sleep affected focus throughout the rally • Incorrect gearbox setup complicated the entire event • One major mistake on SS4 alongside several smaller errors • Currently holding provisional P1 • Victory would make it three wins from three rounds in Season 3 The championship is still young, but another victory would create valuable breathing room and strengthen my campaign for a historic third consecutive title. Conclusion: A difficult rally both physically and mentally. High temperatures, poor sleep, and an incorrect setup made every stage more challenging than expected, but despite the struggles the pace was still good enough to fight for victory.
