The Cumbrian Challenge day 1

I threw my wife Victoria in at the deep end! Her first ever NFAS competition was this, the Cumbrian Challenge a 2 day shoot up in the Lake District, UK. Given she had only been shooting a bow for a 10 months at this point and thumb draw for even less, she did really really well, over some very tough terrain, on the second day it pissed it down too! The course was very well laid, with some quite long distance targets and some very tricky shots, shooting up steep banks and down some sharp drops. She says she can't remember much about it as it was all a bit overwhelming, I made her score too! Just for the hell of it. She's got the scores for the shots locked in now though, so the plan worked. We stayed over in a very nice guesthouse just outside Penrith, to make a weekend of it. Thanks to Pennington Archers for day 1 and North Lakes Field archers for day 2.
